Once you have your basic meta tags in place, you want to add some additional tags and elements and then analyize the results.
Let's start with some additional tags:
<meta name="rating" content="General">
<meta name="ROBOTS" content="ALL"
<meta name="Robots" content="index,follow">
<meta name="revisit-after" content="14 days">
<meta name="distribution" content="Global">
<meta name='slurp' content='index,follow,all'> (yahoo)
<meta name='msnbot' content='index,follow,all'>
<meta name="verify-v1" content="longstringofverificationcode=" > (google)
To obtain your google verification code, register with the Google Webmaster Tools. Add your website to be listed with them. They will assign a verification code. Insert the code using a Flex value. Load and Save. Return to Google and verify your website.
TrEx Scripts:
In your TrEx based scripts - TrEx traffic exchange, EP-Digital product library, Ad rotator, Membership site, etc - Place these additional meta tags using the otherheaders flex codes fields. To add Flex Codes, go to the Custom section for each page you want to add. Scroll towards the bottom of the form to Add Flex field.
Flex name
Flex value
You are going to add fields called otherheaders and assign content.
Examples:
otherheaders1 <meta name="verify-v1" content="long google verification code=" >
otherheaders2 <meta name="revisit-after" content="14 days" >
otherheaders3 <meta name='msnbot' content='index,follow,all'>
otherheaders4 <meta name='slurp' content='index,follow,all'>
otherheaders5 <meta name="abstract" content="Traffic Exchange online marketing" >
Add one or more <h> tags to the mix:
H tags can be a powerful optimizer. You want several on your website. If you are using a webpage editor that does not easily create h tags for you, you may want to place this type of h tag between the <head> and end of <body> tag:
<STYLE TYPE="text/css">
H1 {font-family: Verdana,Arial,Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt; color: black}
</STYLE>
<h1>Xtream traffic exchange network auto surf traffic and manual surf traffic exchanges</h1>
To center the tag simply add <center> at the beginning and end of the tag.
<center><STYLE TYPE="text/css">
H1 {font-family: Verdana,Arial,Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt; color: black}
</STYLE>
<h1>Your title with keywords</h1><center>
I also recommend you place aother h tag at the very bottom of your webpage. H6 is usually good as it is in small lettering and won't detract from the overall look of the page.
TrEx Scripts:
The wysizwyg editor allows you to create h tags. If you find the editor to be persnickity, you can turn text into h tags by using the body editor instead. The body editor is your webpage html editor. You want at least one h1 tag at the top of your content, or top left. I recommend several, including the strategic one at the bottom of the webpage.
Analyize your work:
First goal is to analyize your website and then optimize it relative to the Title, H tag, description, and keywords.
Side Note: the search engines favor websites where you used the target keyword in the domain. That means if you have a traffic exchange, they count that 100% on the domain name. IE: xtreammemberstrafficexchange. Realistically, most webmasters don't really do that. So, for most, we have to live with whatever domain we already have. It is good to keep in the back of your mind that Search Engines do rate your domain relative to your chosen keyword you are targeting for the next time you are domain shopping.
WEBCEO: Use the free version. It works just as well as the paid service. The free version is a useful tool to become familiar with the webceo itself and to handle one or a few websites. Besides analyzing your website to assist in seo, it also has an automatic submission service to search engines as well as a manual submission service.
